How to Dress For A Nightclub – Men

Submitted on March 5, 2010 by 86 views

You are what you wear; perfect statement for a nightclub. Here dressing and etiquettes mean a lot. If you’re going to a trendy, posh nightclub, then dress the part. This means, wear a nice pair of pants, a classy shirt and dressy shoes (relatively dressy). In other words, don’t wear jeans, a cotton t-shirt and sneakers. And even if you’ve got the right style on top, don’t spoil your classy look by wearing runners.

On the same note, make sure the people you go with know the rules too. Remind them or you may risk being shunned by the bouncer because one member of your posse is wearing jeans. If you are going to a nice night club in a big city, there are certain guidelines you must consider.  First of all, most of them have a dress code.  No sandals, no white shoes, no hats, no t-shirts, and for nicer clubs, no jeans.

If it’s a nice club wear a pair of slacks or a light pair of dress pants, because clubs tend to get hot with all the people in a tight area.  Always wear a nice pair of dress shoes or some fancy loafers.  Also wear a collared shirt, leave the Aerosmith t-shirt at home.  Always over dress, there is nothing more frustrating than getting to a club and not getting let in by the doormen because of your clothes.

The reason behind a dress code it that the club is trying to portray a certain look, environment and culture in their establishment. Dressing nice impresses women as well, because if you can dress they figure you have your life in control.

You can try finding out the dress code of a club on their website, if one exists. But most of the clubs do not post dress codes on their website because nobody wants to limit options for anyone. One important thing is how you react when you reach at the club.

There will be longer waiting lines than usual on weekends. Bouncers are important people at famous clubs who may or may not let you in. Good behavior along with a great outfit is necessary and this will make your night.
