How to Make Herbal Facial Masks
Natural-Clay and Mint Face Mask for Oily and Acne-prone Skin
Natural clay such as Fuller’s earth or French Clay powder is very effective in cleansing oily skin. Natural clay helps draw out dirt, grime and impurities from the skin and reduces excess oil secretion. We are also using fresh mint in this herbal face mask since this herb has potent anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that can prevent the onset of acne and pimples.
Mint also acts as a natural astringent and maintains the pH balance of the skin. Mint is thus a very potent natural herb in treating and managing oily and acne-prone skin. To make this herbal face mask, take water in a pot and bring it to boil. Once the water comes to a boil, add the fresh mint leaves. Ensure you wash the mint leaves thoroughly before using it to make the herbal pack.
Let the mint leaves simmer in the boiling water for 5 minutes. Then, remove from stove and allow the herb-infused water to cool. Let the mint leaves remain in the water for a few minutes so that the beneficial properties of mint get absorbed in the water. After, strain and keep the herbal water aside.
Take 2 spoons fuller’s earth or French clay powder in bowl and then add the mint-infused herbal water to make a thick paste. Apply this face pack all over face and let it remain for 10-15 minutes. Rinse using lukewarm water. Oily skin will look fresh and glowing after this face pack.
