Purse or Handbag

You don’t need to have great sewing skill for making a purse or bag from an old jeans. Different styles of bags and purses can be made from a worn out jeans. For your teenage daughter, you can simply prepare a hip length bag working together and craft it nicely. She will love to use it. Size of the bag you want to make will depend upon the size of the jeans you are using.

Handbag Denim Jeans

For teen girls, smaller waist jeans will do. Cut off the jeans straight below the hips. Sew the bottom with a strong thread. Sew denim strips for making handles or straps.

Use Velcro, zip or buttons according to your choice for closing the bag. Use your creativity to decorate the bag with fabric painting, embellishment and other craft materials like glass etc. In the same way you can make grocery bag as well.

Quilt

If you have a number of old jeans, you can prepare a nice denim quilt, perfect for carrying to beach, picnic or some outdoor program. Cut same size square pieces of various shades, & sew them together with a colorful thread. Use belt loops, pockets buttons of the jeans to add a fun look to the quit.
