Navel Piercing
Navel piercing has become a rage among girls these days. More and more girls are going for it. But when getting such a thing done you should be careful as to what kind of navel piercing shall be suitable for you. As all the bodies are not same so are the navels or belly buttons, as they are also known as. Navel piercing is of four types, true, vertical, horizontal, and multiple piercing.
True navel piercing is not a very common type of piercing, as it is done on the centre of the navel which is on the tissue protruding from the centre. Such piercing can be done only on those navels which have this tissue protruding more than the normal (also called an outie navel). But this piercing can be risky as it takes a lot of time to heal and also this place of piercing has a lot of blood cells and cause a lot of pain and infections.
Vertical navel piercing is the most common type of piercing where the outer rim of the navel is pierced on the top. However if you get it done on the lower side, it is called the inverse navel piercing. This kind of piercing can be done by almost anybody as there is always space for the piercing on the rim of the navel. However, it can irritate while you sit and your stomach folds in a certain fashion.
Horizontal navel piercing is another type where piercing is done both on the upper and lower rim of the navel and a single bare bell or a horizontally placed ring is passed through both the holes. This type of piercing looks very stylish.
Multiple piercing is one in which as the name suggests, multiple holes are made around the rim of the navel. One can get even three to four piercing done and wear different rings in all of them. Or you can also have the rings or barbells placed as in vertical or horizontal piercing. But multiple piercing is not recommended much as it can be really painful and also chances of infection are high. Also, it will take longer to heal and cause a lot of pain when you sit or lie down.
So getting your belly button pierced is really stylish and cool, yet one should consider all the facts and side effects of getting one done. But as they say, “no pain no gain”, so if you can bear it, go ahead and flaunt your studded belly button.
